Johnny TurvinQuality Control Manager
Johnny began doing tree work in 2001. He immediately fell in love with the job. After becoming the tender for the lead climber of his company he had the opportunity to help clean up after Charley, Frances, and Jean causing him to purchase his first set of climbing gear and begin his journey. His main goals include helping Above and Beyond grow a professional and profitable business by applying his experience in safety, training and quality control. He is an advocate for keeping Jacksonville’s trees healthy and beautiful.
Johnny became an ISA certified arborist through his experience and constant study of the art and science of arboriculture. He intends to keep working for opportunities to practice his profession for the benefit of trees and those who own them. |
When he is not working Johnny currently studies botany and chemistry, intending to advance through cell biology and molecular biology as it relates to trees.
For fun, Johnny collects graphic novels and comics at home. He enjoys going to higher caliber pool halls play mostly 9-Ball and occasionally competes in local tournaments. Johnny also enjoys visiting the Jacksonville Zoo and the Jacksonville Arboretum.
